Outdoor Mentorship & Youth Development

I have a great passion for working with the youth.

I am also a firm believer that when people are taken out of their comfort zones their true character shows through, and that genuine learning occurs.

Over the last three years I have spent considerable time in the outdoors with groups, having facilitated over 900 young individuals on hikes, camps and team building sessions.

It is a great privilege to accompany young people on these adventurous journeys, out of the classroom and out of context.

There is so much pressure on the youth, and the global village we now live in is riddled with distractions to the point of sensory overload. Stepping out of all this allows children to, in many cases for the very first time, take stock of their lives and gain a little bit of perspective without the din of technology and media that constantly surrounds them and without the comforts of home.

It is in these places, under a ceiling of stars, in front of the warm glow of a fire, that sincere and honest conversations begin to happen.

These are the conversations our youth need to have more often if they are to pursue their dreams and passions amidst the flood of external influences. These are the conversations our youth need to have more often if they are to lead lives of purpose and substance.

If you have a grade camp, a team requiring assistance or even a young individual requiring some perspective please contact for more information on both adventurous journeys for groups and one-on-one mentorship.
